While Ashburton has served us well for many years, the time came when we felt the need to move to the "big city" or in our case, Exeter. We have recently taken over a two story, modern office block on the Marsh Barton Estate. Bit of a change from a 150 year old former grain store. However, at least we now have room for the table football... in fact we could even manage 5 a side!
The general consensus amongst staff is that the move is a good thing, with our new offices reflecting our standing as one of the best web design agencies in Devon, and we have the awards to prove it!
Rest assured that the move is a positive thing. We plan to take on more staff, which will allow us to provide a more personal service, and we have a new digital phone system installed, which makes talking to the right person even easier. Our new telephone number is 0845 838 7088.
The Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008 were celebrated in style on 23rd April 2008. For the first time ever the awards ceremony was held outside London in St Georges Hall, Liverpool in celebration of Liverpool, European City of Culture and St George’s Day. The Pennywell Farm website was awarded Silver for Tourism Website of the Year. Pennywell was automatically entered for the awards after winning at the SW Tourism Excellence Awards earlier this year.
The Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008 Gold award went to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. We say nothing!
On Friday night we attended the Media innovation Awards in Plymouth and were very pleased that the Virtually Dartmoor website picked up the award for best Corporate Website. We actually had two different sites nominated so had a 2 out of 3 chance of winning! However, we were up against tough competition from a site produced by Denham Productions for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres. In the end the judges awarded first prize for delivering a site that "reached an audience beyond the web". They described it as "an excellent example of how creative thinking can deliver historical and factual information and how a website can be developed for more than one platform."
Last year we were up against VW and the NHS with the Pennywell Farm website. Although Pennywell was the only website live on the web (rather than internal or training websites), it failed to pick up the prize. However, justice has been done, Pennywell has gone on to win two awards including Tthe Tourism Website of the Year Award at the Southwest Tourism Excellence Awards and Best Tourism Website award at this year's national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008.
The Pennywell Farm website won the Tourism Website of the Year Award at the Southwest Tourism Excellence Awards last night. This means it will go forward to represent the southwest in the finals of the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence. This means a lot to all the team at Integralvision who worked on the site. Mark who did the Flash work and coding, Rob who built the back end and e-commerce solution and Simon who worked on the design. The award is particularly sweet after we were runners up at the Southwest Media Awards earlier this year with the same site. Pennywell's website has been shortlisted against such sites as The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and The Official Guide to the River Thames.
For the second year running we have been nominated for the Southwest Media innovation Awards. Toad Hall Cottages and Virtually Dartmoor are two of the three sites shortlisted in the Corporate Website category. The other site in our category is HiQtv produced by Denham Productions in association with McCann Erikson for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres. Last year we were up against VW and the NHS!
The awards will be presented at the Holiday Inn, Plymouth on Friday, 14th March 2008.
